MySpace Replaces CEO in Less Than a Year

After less than a year on the job, Rupert Murdoch's News Corp is replacing their inaugurally appointed CEO of their 2005 acquistion: MySpace (Owen Van Natta).
Van Natta is being replaced by co-presidents Mike Jones and Jason Hirschhorn, who previously were MySpace's chief operating officer and chief product officer, respectively.
News Corp is citing a difference of directional priorities as the reason why they are parting ways with the man who was, before joining MySpace, the #2 person at FaceBook.
Now that we are past the social media boom of Web 2.0, how much shelflife do company's like MySpace really have?
